Adding an Auxiliary Anchor to a Structure

Follow the steps below to anchor an auxiliary wire to a structure.


Step 1: Navigate to the 'Wires' section of the Lineardraft toolbar

Step 2: Access the 'Configure Wire' window

This can be done by creating a new wire, attaching a wire or editing an existing wire point.

Step 3: Tick the 'Anchor' box

Step 4: Tick the 'Equipment' box

Ticking this checkbox expands the 'Configure Wire' window, allowing you to attach equipment to the structure.

Step 5: Click a '[Mast]' so it is highlighted

If the wire is attached to a portal you will be able to choose which mast to attach the equipment to.

Step 6: Click the 'Add Bracket' button

This will open the 'Add Bracket' window. You can alternatively select an existing bracket from the equipment editor.

Step 7: Configure bracket and click 'Confirm'

Select a bracket style from the drop-down menu and review the 'Location', 'Rotation', and 'Height'. Learn more about bracket locations here. Clicking 'Confirm' will close this window.

Step 8: Configure equipment

Using the drop-down menus, select the wire support and wire support style you would like to allocate.

Top tip: You can customise the wire support style parameters of your chosen wire support style by clicking the 'Customise' button. Find out more here.

Step 9: Click 'Confirm'

This will close the 'Configure' window and apply the changes to your model.
