If you are unable to split a wire, check the caveats below before creating a ticket.
For any wire to be split, it needs to be attached to more than one structure. If the wire is only attached to one structure the prompt in your CAD application will read 'Wire [NAME] attached to a single structure can't be split'.
To split a wire, it must be attached to at least one further structure in the direction of increasing chainage. If you attempt to split a wire from the last structure, the prompt in your CAD application will read 'Wire [NAME] can't be split at the last structure'.
When splitting a wire, you must chose a structure from which you would like the split to happen. This structure must already be attached to the wire you want to split. If the wire is not already attached to the structure, the prompt in your CAD application will read ' Structure [NAME] is not attached to wire [NAME]'.
