There are multiple ways you can attach catenary equipment to an attachment point.
You can attach equipment while creating a catenary wire, when attaching a catenary wire to an attachment point, or by editing the wire point.
The steps below show you how to attach equipment regardless of the process starting point.
Step 1: Navigate to the 'Wires' section of the Lineardraft toolbar
Step 2: Access the 'Configure Wire' window
This can be done by creating a new wire, attaching a wire or editing an existing wire point.
Step 3: Tick the 'Equipment' checkbox
Ticking this checkbox expands the 'Configure Wire' window, allowing you to attach equipment.
Step 4: Click 'Add SPS'
This will open the 'Add SPS' window. You can alternatively select an existing SPS from the equipment editor.
Top tip: If the reach value displayed in the 'Configure' window is not suitable, you can click on the 'Edit Support' button and adjust the value.
Step 5: Select SPS style, 'Location', and 'Rotation'
Select an SPS style from the drop-down menu and review the 'Location' and 'Rotation', which defines where the SPS is placed. Learn more about SPS locations here.
Step 6: Adjust SPS position and click 'Confirm'
If required, adjust the values for 'Height above HRL', 'Rotation Angle' and 'Z-Axis Rotation' of the SPS. To learn more about SPS configurations, see this article.
Clicking 'Confirm' will close the 'Edit SPS' window.
Step 7 (Optional): Edit the drop tube
A drop tube will be automatically selected based on your SPS selection. Clicking the 'Edit Drop Tube' button will allow you to customise it to your specifications. To learn more about drop tube configuration see this article.
When you're finished editing the drop tube, click 'Confirm' to close the window.
Please note: Some equipment configurations will require you to override the drop tube's length and/or height. In these cases, the following message will appear in the 'Edit Drop Tube' window:
Step 8: Click 'Add Bracket'
This will open the 'Add Bracket' window. You can alternatively select an existing bracket from the equipment editor.
Step 9: Configure bracket and Click 'Confirm'
Select a bracket style from the drop-down menu and review the 'Location' and 'Rotation'. Learn more about bracket locations here. Clicking 'Confirm' will close this window.
Please note: Some equipment configurations will require you to override the drop tube's length and/or height. In these cases, the following message will appear in the 'Edit Bracket' Window:
Step 10: Configure equipment
Using the drop-down menus, select the wire support and wire support style you would like to allocate.
If no equipment is available at this point, you may need to adjust the reach, or the wire properties shown in the top-half of the 'Configure' window.

Step 11: Click 'Confirm'
This will close the 'Configure' window and apply the changes to your model.
