In many cases, you may use the same set of annotations and dimensions for multiple annotated elevation drawings. The steps below outline how to save your chosen configuration as a template to then use on future drawings to speed up creation.
More info: For the full process on how to use the Elevation Module to annotate an elevation drawing, please see here.
Step 1: Click the 'Create' button in the 'Elevation Module' section of the Lineardraft toolbar
This will open the 'Create Elevation' window.
Step 2: Select a structure
You can do this by selecting a structure from the drop-down menu or using the locate button and clicking directly on the structure in your model.
Please note: You may need to use the Elevation Module Manager to rebuild your structure if you get a warning at this point.
Step 3: Choose your reference model from the drop-down menu
You may have multiple references in the same sheet (e.g front view, side view, top view), choose the one you want to add dimensions to.
Step 4: Click the 'New configuration' icon
Step 5: Name your configuration
This will be the name of the template you are creating
Step 6: Select a 'Dimension style' and 'Text style' for your annotations from the drop-down menus
Step 7: Choose a level for your annotation to appear on from the drop-down menu
Step 8: Select your choice of annotations/dimensions to draw
